Migrart: Unrolling the Border
Migrart: Art as Encounter is a project that, since 2015, has been collecting drawings and testimonies from migrants along migration routes on 30-meter rolls of paper.
Ten years after, the Menti Libere collective is launching the project “Migrart: Unrolling the Border,” which will involve the Italian-Slovenian cross-border territory in participatory actions and cultural initiatives capable of offering cross-cutting perspectives on the theme of the border as a socio-cultural construction site. The nine rolls collected by Tommaso Sandri so far will be the common thread of a collective exhibition, spread between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, which will exhibit the works of Matteo Bompasso, Michele Cattani, Spartak Khachanov, and Raffaele Saviano in October 2025.
